Need a person right now?
If you're in the middle of something scary and can't wait for email, the AARP Fraud Watch Network Helpline is free, run by trained volunteers, and open to everyone (you don't need to be a member): 877-908-3360. See AARP for current helpline hours. If money just left your account, call your bank's fraud line first — use the number on the back of your card.
Already been scammed?
- First hours matter: call your bank's fraud line and ask them to reverse or recall the payment — wire recalls have a narrow window.
- Paid with a gift card? Call that card's company and ask them to freeze it. Keep the card and the receipt.
- Report it at IdentityTheft.gov — the government's tool builds you a personal recovery plan — and at reportfraud.ftc.gov (Viper's Recovery tools can help you organize next steps).
- Place a free fraud alert or credit freeze with all three bureaus: Equifax, Experian, TransUnion.
- Beware "recovery" calls promising to get your money back for a fee — that's the same scammers coming back.
- None of this is shameful. These operations are professional and they fool careful people every day.
Subscriptions & billing
The iPhone app and new paid plans are not publicly available yet. No new web checkout is offered. The following guidance applies to any existing billing records.
- If you have an existing iPhone-app subscription, it is billed by Apple. Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or from Viper's Settings → Manage subscription.
- Bought Pro but it isn't unlocked? Viper Settings → Restore purchases.
- If you have an existing web subscription, use the billing link in your receipt or contact support@viperai.co.
- Refunds for Apple purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Common questions
- Check temporarily unavailable? If session requests are rate-limited, wait before trying again. This is not a check result; an unavailable session cannot submit your check.
- Mic button does nothing? iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone / Speech Recognition → allow ViperAI.
- Delete your account? On the web, open Account → Privacy & account safety → Delete account. Review the confirmation before continuing.
